Global Entry Slot Finder – Privacy Policy

Kovan Apps Yazılım Ltd. Şti. (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) built the Global Entry Slot Finder app (the “App”) available on both Google Play (Android) and the Apple App Store (iOS). The App shows the soonest available Global Entry (Trusted Traveler Programs) interview appointments at US enrollment centers using publicly available scheduler data, and can optionally notify you when a matching appointment opens. Browsing is free; alert features are unlocked with a single one-time purchase. The App contains no advertising and does not track you across other apps or websites. We use Google Analytics for Firebase solely for aggregate, anonymous usage statistics (e.g. how many devices opened the app).

This page informs visitors regarding our policies on the collection, use, and disclosure of information if anyone decides to use our Service. By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy.

⚠️ Independent App Notice: Global Entry Slot Finder is an independent, third-party application and is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP), or any government agency. Appointment availability is sourced from the publicly accessible TTP scheduler; appointments are always booked by you on the official ttp.cbp.dhs.gov website. We never ask for, receive, or store your Login.gov username or password.

1. Information Collection and Use

The App is designed to work without an account and to collect the minimum data needed to deliver appointment alerts. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any government-application data. The App uses the following third-party services, which may process limited technical information:

2. Appointment Availability Data

Appointment availability shown in the App comes from the publicly accessible Trusted Traveler Programs scheduler operated by CBP. Specifically:

Our servers query the public scheduler and cache the soonest available appointments per enrollment center.
This data is about enrollment centers, not about you — it contains no personal information.
Your device receives this data from our servers; your device does not contact CBP systems except when you tap “Book appointment”, which opens the official website in your browser.

3. Alerts and Push Notifications

If you unlock Pro and set an appointment alert, we store the following on our servers, associated only with your anonymous session ID:

The enrollment center(s) or nationwide scope you chose to watch
Your optional “before this date” filter
Your device’s push notification token (needed to deliver the alert)

Alerts expire automatically (at most 60 days, or at your chosen date) and are deleted when they expire or when you remove them in the App. Invalid or rotated push tokens are pruned automatically. You may disable notifications at any time through your device’s system settings; alerts can be removed in the App under My Alerts.

4. Location Data

The optional Nearby feature may request access to your device’s approximate location to sort enrollment centers by distance. Location data is:

Used only locally on your device to sort the list — it never leaves your phone
Never stored on our servers and never shared with anyone
Entirely optional — the App is fully functional without location access

5. Purchase Data

The App offers a single optional one-time purchase (“Pro unlock”) managed through RevenueCat. When you purchase:

Payment is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We never see or store your payment details (card numbers, billing address, etc.).
RevenueCat receives your anonymous session ID and the purchase receipt to validate the unlock, including for “Restore purchases”.
There is no subscription, no recurring charge, and no ads.

6. Analytics, Crash and Diagnostic Data

We use Firebase Crashlytics to detect crashes and stability problems. Crash reports may include your device model, operating system version, and the technical state of the App at the time of the crash. We also use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand aggregate usage (such as first opens, sessions, and in-app purchase counts). This data is tied to an anonymous app-instance identifier — not to your name, email, or any real-world identity — and is never used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

7. Cookies

The App itself does not use cookies. Third-party libraries used by the App may use technologies with similar functions for the purposes described above. When you open the official booking website in your browser, that website’s own policies apply.

8. Data Security

All network communication between the App and our backend uses HTTPS/TLS encryption, and backend access is protected by device attestation (Firebase App Check). However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention

Alerts (watched centers, date filter): Deleted when you remove them or when they expire (at most 60 days).
Push notification tokens: Retained while your alerts are active; invalid tokens are pruned automatically.
Anonymous session ID: Persists on your device until you uninstall the App; the associated server data becomes orphaned and inert once your alerts expire.
Crash logs: Retained by Firebase for up to 90 days.
Analytics events: Retained by Google Analytics for Firebase for up to 14 months, then deleted.
Purchase records: Retained by RevenueCat/Apple/Google per their policies to support purchase restoration.
Preferences (theme, onboarding state): Stored locally on your device and deleted when you uninstall the App.

10. Your Rights

Access: You may request a copy of any data associated with your anonymous session ID.
Deletion: You may delete your alerts in-app at any time. Uninstalling the App removes all local data. You may also email us to request server-side deletion of data tied to your session.
Opt-out: You may disable push notifications in your device’s system settings at any time.

11. Links to Other Sites

The App links to the official TTP website (ttp.cbp.dhs.gov) for booking, and may open your maps or phone app for enrollment-center directions and calls. These external sites and apps are not operated by us; we advise you to review their privacy policies. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party sites or services.

12. Children’s Privacy

  This Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will immediately delete it from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. Changes are effective immediately upon posting.
