Fastest Delete everything from inside the app
- Open Permit Hours and go to the Settings tab
- Scroll to Delete my data
- Confirm when asked — this cannot be undone
The app deletes your anonymous identity and every server-side record tied to it, then wipes the local database on the device and returns to the first-run screen. No email, no waiting.
What gets deleted
- Your local driving log — every session, driver profile, note, and GPS route recorded on the device
- Synced session records — if Family Sync was on, the sessions stored on our servers for your family
- Your family membership — the device is removed from the family; the share code it used no longer works for it
- Your anonymous ID — deleted from Firebase Authentication
- Local preferences — onboarding state, stored settings, and cached configuration
What is not deleted, and why
- PDFs you already exported — those files are on your own device or wherever you shared them; delete them yourself
- Purchase records — held by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat so that “Restore purchases” keeps working. Deleting your data does not refund a purchase, and does not cancel anything (Full Unlock is a one-time purchase, not a subscription)
- Sessions logged by other members of your family — those belong to their devices; each member deletes their own data the same way
- Crash and analytics data — already anonymous and not linkable back to you; retained by Firebase for up to 90 days (crashes) and 14 months (analytics), then deleted automatically

If you have already uninstalled the app, or would rather we handle it:
- Email info@kovanapps.com
- Use the subject: “Data Deletion Request – Permit Hours”
- Include your anonymous ID, which the app shows under Settings → About (tap it to copy). Without it we cannot tell which records are yours
- We confirm deletion within 72 hours
Note: Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone — there is no account to sign back into and no backup to restore from. If you still need your driving record, export the PDF first (History tab → export icon) and save it somewhere safe. If you keep using the app afterwards, it starts fresh with a new anonymous ID and an empty log.
