Welcome to MeloMatch, a music-first social application operated by Kovan Apps Yazılım Ltd. Şti. ("Kovan Apps", "Company", "we", "us", or "our"). MeloMatch lets you build a profile from the music you love, discover people who share your taste, challenge them to music duels, and start conversations with a song. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and Kovan Apps governing your access to and use of the MeloMatch mobile application on Android (Google Play) and iOS (Apple App Store), together with all related services (the "App" or "Service").
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using MeloMatch, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
If we learn that a person under 18 has created an account, we will delete the account and its data. Please report suspected underage users to info@kovanapps.com or through the in-app report function.
To use MeloMatch you must create an account by verifying a phone number you control and providing accurate information, including your name, date of birth, gender, at least one photo of yourself, and your favorite artists and songs. You may only create one account, and it must represent you personally. You are responsible for keeping your phone number and device secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
You agree NOT to post, send, or transmit any content, and not to behave in any way, that:
Photos must show you and must not include children, even your own.
We have a zero-tolerance policy regarding Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Upon identification, the content is removed immediately, the responsible account is permanently banned, and the incident is reported to the appropriate law enforcement authorities and the NCMEC CyberTipline in compliance with 18 U.S.C. § 2258A and applicable local law.
MeloMatch provides in-app Report and Block functions on every profile and conversation. Blocking a user immediately hides you from each other and ends any conversation. Every uploaded photo is screened automatically before it is shown, and reported content and accounts are reviewed by our team within 24 hours. We may remove content, restrict features, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, and we may preserve and disclose content to law enforcement where required by law. We have no obligation to monitor all content, and you acknowledge that you may encounter content you find objectionable despite our efforts.
You retain ownership of the content you upload (photos, bio, messages, duel answers, and other material). By uploading content, you represent that you own it or have the rights needed to use it, and you grant Kovan Apps a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for example, resizing), display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating, securing, and improving the Service. This license ends when your content is deleted from our systems, except where retention is required by law or for moderation records.
Artist names, song titles, artwork, and 30-second song previews shown in the App are provided by Apple Music / iTunes and other catalog providers and remain the property of their respective rights holders. They are provided for personal, non-commercial use within the App only. Music duels are games of skill for entertainment; duel results have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed. If you grant access to your Apple Music library, that access remains subject to Apple's own terms.
MeloMatch is free to use with certain limits. MeloMatch Pro is an auto-renewable subscription available as Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly plans that removes or raises those limits. The current price, duration, and included features are shown in the App before you purchase.
All payments are processed by Apple (App Store) on iOS or Google (Google Play) on Android, in your local currency and including applicable taxes. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase. Kovan Apps never receives or stores your payment card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the price shown at purchase unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Deleting the App or your MeloMatch account does not cancel a subscription; you must cancel it through the store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Pro features until then.
Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple or Google under their respective refund policies. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com (iOS) or through Google Play support (Android). To the extent permitted by law, Kovan Apps does not issue refunds directly.
We may change subscription prices with notice through the store; changes apply from the next renewal after you are notified and, where required, after you consent. Use Restore Purchases in the App to recover an active subscription on a new device signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account.
MeloMatch relies on Firebase and Google Cloud (Google), RevenueCat, Apple Music / MusicKit and the App Store (Apple), Google Play, Spotify, MusicBrainz, and Ticketmaster. These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, which are listed in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for their availability or practices. Links to concerts or songs may open third-party websites or apps; your use of them is at your own discretion.
The MeloMatch App, including its design, features, functionality, logos, trademarks, and software, is owned by Kovan Apps and protected by international copyright and trademark laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on a device you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, distribute, or create derivative works from the App.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT COMPATIBILITY SCORES ARE ACCURATE, OR THAT YOU WILL FORM ANY PARTICULAR CONNECTION.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KOVAN APPS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM THE CONDUCT OF OTHER USERS, WHETHER ONLINE OR OFFLINE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kovan Apps and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of another person.
You may delete your account at any time in the App (Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account) or by following our Delete Account page. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without refund of any prepaid subscription period to the extent permitted by law, if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activity, or create a risk to other users or to the Service. Sections 5 and 9 through 16 survive termination.
Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference and explains what we collect on iOS and Android and how you can exercise your rights.
If you downloaded MeloMatch from the Apple App Store, the following also applies:
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts and enforcement offices of Ankara, Türkiye. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, the UK, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have under those laws, and you may also bring a claim in your country of residence or contact your local consumer protection authority.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the "Last Updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the App before they take effect. Your continued use of MeloMatch after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
