🔒 Good to know: We do not create user accounts, we do not collect your name, email, or phone number, and we do not store location data on our servers. Your camera favorites and preferences are saved locally on your device only. Highway alert rules (Pro) are stored on our servers with an anonymous identifier and can be deleted from the App in one tap.

🔔 Method 1 — Delete Alert Rules in the App (Pro)

Open the App → Alerts → swipe or tap a rule → Delete. The rule, and the push token attached to it, are removed from our servers immediately. Deleting your last rule removes the device record entirely.

📱 Method 2 — Uninstall the App

All of your locally stored data is deleted automatically when you uninstall Traffic Cams & Road Conditions from your device. This includes:

Uninstalling also invalidates the push token, so no further alerts can be delivered; any remaining alert rules are purged from our servers within 60 days, or immediately on request (Method 3).

iOS: Long-press the app icon → Remove App → Delete App.
Android: Long-press the app icon → App info → Uninstall. Or go to Settings → Apps → Traffic Cams & Road Conditions → Uninstall.

📧 Method 3 — Email a Data Deletion Request

For data that is held by our third-party service providers (crash reports, analytics, subscription records), email us and we will initiate deletion on your behalf.

  1. Send an email to info@kovanapps.com.
  2. Subject line: “Traffic Cams & Road Conditions – Data Deletion Request”
  3. Include (optional) your Firebase Installation ID or RevenueCat App User ID if you know them. These are not required — we can process a deletion request without any identifier.
  4. If you are a subscriber, mention the store (Apple or Google) and the approximate subscription date.

We will respond within 30 days and confirm once deletion is complete.

📲 Method 4 — Reset Your Advertising ID

The App uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob uses your device's advertising identifier. You can reset or disable it at any time:

iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → toggle off “Allow Apps to Request to Track”. You can also open the App, go to Settings, and respond “Ask App Not to Track” to the prompt.
Android: Settings → Google → Ads → “Delete advertising ID” or “Opt out of Ads Personalization”.

Pro subscribers do not see ads, so no advertising ID is used while subscribed.

🌍 Method 5 — Third-Party Data Deletion (Advanced)

You may also request deletion directly from each third-party service that the App uses:

Note: we cannot delete data held by Apple or Google on our behalf.
